Torson has an in-house tool shop. This allows for quick and inexpensive production of new molds as well as quick and easy adaptation of existing molds.
Torson has been using brass as a mold material for small parts and small batches for decades. Better mechanical properties than aluminum but much easier to work with than steel. As a result, brass stands out as a versatile and versatile material for our mold making. For large series or very wear-resistant tools, we rely on hardened steel molds.
In addition to conventional milling and turning machines, we also have a 5-axis CNC milling machine and a die-sinking EDM machine. This allows us the highest possible flexibility when it comes to manufacturing new injection molds.
